Dental Implants and Facial Rejuvenation

A dental implant is used to support one or more false teeth. It is a titanium screw that can replace the root of the tooth and just like a tooth root , it is placed into the jaw bone.

Dr Kumar is our Dental Surgeon specialising in dental implants. He is dually qualified in Medicine and Dentistry. He regularly places implants and importantly has a very high success rate. His skills include Advanced Dental Implantology, Complex Bone Augmentation procedures and Facial Rejuvenation (including botox,  and dermal fillers). Due to his experience as a maxillo-facial surgeon Dr Kumar is also a mentor for dentists learning implantology , facial rejuvenation and other techniques such as intravenous sedation.

We offer a free "Implant Consulation service" for patients who are considering having dental implants or the other procedures outlined above.

 The Dental Hygienist:

Our Dental Hygienist is a valued member of our team. Dental hygienist's are specially trained to work alongside the dentist in providing dental care and maintenance, which is tailored to indiviual patient need.The hygienist's main role is to professionally clean your teeth which is called "scaling and polishing". We at OAK END DENTAL CLINIC think perhaps their most important role is showing the patient the best way to keep their teeth free of plaque, which will help them prevent gum disease.  This is the most common reason for losing a tooth. The dental hygenist will also give advice on your diet and how to prevent tooth decay.

Teeth Whitening:

Teeth whitening is a bleaching process that lightens discolouration of teeth and removes stains without removing any of the tooth surface.We can whiten your teeth in three ways

1. "Home Whitening system" : Following a discussion with your dentist weprovide the mouthtrays and the bleaching gels. The patient is then able to carry out the simple procedure at home.

2. "In Surgery" Photo Activated Whitening system: This process is the most widely researched system, and gives instant results. It takes approx 1 hour in the surgery.

3."Combination" of in surgery and the home whitening system. The combination package is recommended for its cost effectiveness and producing long lasting results.
